First Impression: Looxi Beauty Fall 2016 Eyeshadows

This fall, Looxi released 25 new shadows and I have them ALL! These babies are a mix of shimmer and matte with the crazy pigmentation I have come to love! In the past, the matte shades have been hit or miss for me. Some are super pigmented, others are a tad too powdery. But this time, about 12/15 mattes really did it for me and I am thoroughly impressed with the color story – cool tones are very ‘in’ right now.

However, for all my #Pumpkin4Life beauty fiends, Looxi has you covered as well. There are a mix of warm, yellow and orange mattes complemented by three variations of rich brown that will look oh so well on brown skin as transition shades. I can never have too many transition shades! For the mattes, the shades Chickory, Maple, and Pumpkin Spice Life are going into my daily rotation immediately.

Moving on to the shimmers, prepare to be blown away! I have no idea where ‘Hot Toddy’ and ‘Scarlet’ have been all my life but thank goodness they have now found their rightful place in my makeup stash because these babies are everything! The copper tones in ‘Hot Toddy‘ really bring out brown eyes without being overly bold on brown skin. You can wear this shade day or night to add a subtle shimmer to your eyelids. ‘Scarlet‘ is one shade to bring out for date night with its deep berry tones and an almost foiled texture during application. I’d suggest using your finger to apply both of this on your eyelid. Gently smooth the shade across your lid to really take advantage of that foiled effect!

Finally, I have been gravitating towards some foiled, silvery light pinks recently. The shade ‘Blondie‘ perfectly fits into this category so I expect to bring that shade out a lot during the winter.
