Glow lovers everywhere have awaited the release of Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in ‘Aurora’. The Glow Kit’s shade selection is reminiscent of the aurora borealis so if you want a Northern Lights glow, you better get with the program and check this beauty out! I’ve been testing some of the shades over the past week and can’t wait to share my thoughts on this palette below!
In 2017, we are continuing the ‘Year of the Glow’ at SBD headquarters. It’s only right that all retailers do the same! Anastasia Beverly Hills clearly got the memo because the brand is about to release their second Glow Kit of the year: Aurora. This 6-pan palette is described as the Moonchild Glow Kit’s ‘sister’ due to the similar holographic shade range they share between them. I’m a fan of Moonchild, so it’s safe to say that I will be picking this one up as well. Keep scrolling for pictures!
I must admit I went a little crazy when one of my favorite brands announced a collaboration with one of my favorite YouTubers. Excited probably isn’t even the word for my feelings around the debut of the ‘Nicole Glow’ Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills and Nicole Guerriero. Now that I have my hands on the actual highlighter palette, I’m ready to give you my thoughts so you can decide if you want to purchase for yourself. Keep reading for my two cents and loads of swatches.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit ‘Nicole Glow’ will release online March 3, 2017 on anastasiabeverlyhills.com and sephora.com. It will be available in Sephora stores March 15, 2017. It will retail for $40. ‘Nicole Glow’ is limited edition.
Hold on to your hats! Anastasia Beverly Hills and popular beauty vlogger Nicole Guerriero are sweeping through with a collaboration guaranteed to have you shinning from here to the sun. A brand new glow kit – dubbed ‘Nicole Glow’ – is releasing this spring. The six-pan palette features all brand new shades in a formula similar to Anastasia’s previously released Sweets Glow Kit. Who’s ready to glow? Keep reading for more pictures and swatches of ‘Nicole Glow’!
The Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick expansion will launch February 14, 2017 online at anastasiabeverlyhills.com. Each liquid lipstick will retail for $20. These shades will be permanently added to the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick collection.
If you are a fan of Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick, you need to listen up! The brand is launching six new shades for all my lovers out there! The shades range from baby lavender to rusty orange to a deep metallic teal. Say no more, right!? Keep reading for shade details and pictures!
Anastasia Beverly Hills had an INCREDIBLE Black Friday sale with discounts on everything on their website. I was able to purchase a few of their shadows and began immediately slathering them all over my eyes the first chance I got! Want to know which shades I got and what they look like on me? I’ve got you covered in the post below!
I went HAM during the Anastasia Beverly Hills Black Friday sale. With 60% off single eyeshadows who can blame me!? I picked up 8: ‘Red Earth’, ‘Sienna’, ‘Morocco’, Truffle Glitter’, ‘Black Diamond’, ‘Dragonfly’, ‘Mermaid’, and ‘Prussian Blue’.
Let’s start off with the shades that I used for the look above! I was working with ‘Sienna’ and ‘Red Earth’ as transition shades. In order to make my crease more defined, I really worked in ‘Red Earth’ to create the illusion that my eyelid space is larger than it really is. I topped my newfound lid space with the LORAC Cosmetics Cream Eyeliner in ‘Navy’ to provide a base for my lid shade: ‘Truffle Glitter’. The blue helped the lid shade pop and gave a little color to an otherwise neutral look.
I was thrilled with the way these shades applied and wore throughout the three hours I had them on (party time!). ‘Truffle Glitter’ is a foiled shade so it did have some fall out, but that is to expect from a color that’s so intensely pigmented. ‘Red Earth’, ‘Sienna’, and ‘Morocco’ were all purchased because they are ideal transition shades for my complexion. I’ve had my eye on ‘Red Earth’ specifically for a while and boy did it fulfill all my rusty brown dreams!
Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Mermaid’ single eyeshadow on the lid.
Next up, ‘Mermaid’ is one of the most glamourous blues I’ve ever had the pleasure to smear on my eyeballs. It has a slight color shift similar to that of mermaid scales (appropriately named am I right!?) with the same high level of blendability that the other shades offer. Above, I paired ‘Mermaid’ (lid shade) with some blue and greens from the Morphe Brushes 35B palette. On my lower lash line, I used some Juvia’s Place oranges out of The Masquerade Mini to finish off the eye look.
Below, I’d swatched every shade I purchased so you can see them individually to accompany the eye look shots. Any of these beauties on your wish list?
Winter is my favorite season because I love being all bundled up! Whether that’s in my favorite sweater or in my favorite blanket, I’m all about being hugged up in some of my favorite things! However, my eyelids haven’t quite given up the dream of a colorful summer and they are having a hard time adjusting to the cold. So with that, I bring to you my pics for a much more colorful season than last year’s picks!
Juvia’s Place The Nubian 2 Palette ‘Egypt’ I’ve become a huge fan of this palette since receiving it for my birthday and this is one of my favorite shades! It’s very bold for winter, but considering that emerald green is considered one of the official colors of Christmas, I’d say you can get away with it. Juvia’s Place, $30.
Ultimo Cosmetics Loose Pigment ‘Persia’
Ultimo Cosmetics pigments are among the first reviewed on my blog and they are still my favorite loose pigments. The quality, color selection, and fact that you can get a sample for $1 is mind blowing. But I’d say go with the regular size on this purchase, you’ll use it. eBay, $10.
Looxi Beauty Single Shadow ‘Bohemian’
Looxi Beauty is my favorite indie shadow brand. I have almost their entire collection and this one is a standout. It performs more like a pressed pigment than a shimmer shadow and a little will go a long way. For best performance, use over an eyeshadow base. Looxi, $5. (Use code SPENCE10 for 10% off)
Viseart Dark Mattes Palette ‘Blue #2’
Viseart shadows are my favorite high end shadow because they are just as pigmented upon application on brown skin as they are in the pan. The entire Dark Mattes palette has become a staple in my collection and I use all the shades as transition colors on just about all of my looks. Sephora, $80.
Lorac Cosmetics Unzipped Palette ‘Unbridled’
Lorac Cosmetics palettes are some of the most loved palettes by both makeup artists and enthusiasts alike. Their Unzipped palette is a rose gold lover’s dream. Even though the palette’s shimmer shades really make the product, I selected this shade because I love it for everyday wear. Ulta, $42.
Essence Cosmetics Metal Glam Single ‘Sparkle All Night’
I’m always here for any outstanding drugstore beauty product and I find some of the best hiding at Ulta! Essence Cosmetics foiled Metal Glam shadows are incredibly pigmented and I love this particular gunmetal shade as an alternative to the traditional black. Ulta, sold out. (Makeup Geek ‘Galaxy’ is similar, $5.)
Looxi Beauty Single Shadow ‘Gravity’
‘Gravity’ is the duochrome sister to my favorite Looxi Beauty shadow ‘Urbane’. Since I’ve talked your ear off about ‘Urbane’, I thought I’d throw this one out there as a cool bronze alternative to the ever so popular gold eye / red lip holiday combo. This shade gives off some especially serious shimmer under twinkling holiday lights! Looxi, $3.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario ‘Muse’
I’d be absolutely crazy if I didn’t include a shade from my most loved shadow palette of 2016. I love this palette so much that I really had trouble picking just one shade, but went with the one that was most used out of my palette. This is another shade that I can throw all over my eyelid and walk out of the door. No frills about it! Macy’s, $45.
After lusting over the gorgeousness of the Summer 2016 mini lipgloss kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills, I jumped on the fall release the second it appeared on the ABH site! This set of six is perfect for the gloss lover who doesn’t want to be confined by just a few colors (the price is the equivalent of less than two full size glosses). After swatching, I’m ready to give you the low-down of my first impression below!
Last year’s fall lip gloss release slipped through my fingers like sand and I was so upset! I STILL need Tara, but that’s neither here nor there as it’s a new year and a new season! Anastasia Beverly Hills didn’t disappoint with this collection of six mini glosses in some super ‘autumn-is-coming’ shades. Based on early swatches, I’d have to say my favorites are Maple (AHHHMAZING), Carla, and Rum (And I thought Fudge was perfect for brown skin!).
Maple is the metallic gloss and it has all the opacity of a non-shimmer gloss, but with this intense metallic reflection that reminds me of some of my favorite eyeshadows. Moving on, I wasn’t expecting to like Carla that much since I’m not a red gloss gal, but it’s one of those colors you slap on when you want to stand out. I’ve already got plans to pull this out for a party next week muahahaha.
Finally, I’m absolutely in love with Rum. If you have the Fudge gloss (or have seen me ramble about it on Instagram), it’s a tad bit darker making it a deeper nude for my lips without being straight up brown. I don’t know if I have ever seen a gloss this shade, with this opacity, that performs so well. I’ll be alternating Rum and Fudge this fall for sure!
The Anastasia Beverly Hills x Mario Dedivanovic ‘Master Palette by Mario’ will release September 29, 2016 on anastasiabeverlyhills.com, online at Sephora, Ulta, and Macy’s on October 4, 2016, and in stores October 15, 2015. A limited quantity will be available in Dubai, UAE. The palette is limited edition and will retail for $45.
Tis the season for bomb holiday collaborations! Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kim Kardashian’s must-have makeup man Mario Deivanovic are bringing us a very winter worthy eye palette this holiday season. The palette is touted as having an incredible formula that will knock your socks off. If it’s anything like the past ABH palettes, I’ll be all over it. Want a peek at the shades?
