On August 25th, Looxi Beauty is releasing 14 new eyeshadows in celebration of the fall season! I’ve been playing with them all and I’m going to focus almost exclusively on the shimmers because those are the ones I think are really going to make you all drool!
Looxi has been my favorite indie brand pretty much since they released their first collection and I lost myself in their gorgeous gunmetal shimmer ‘Pistol Whipped’. This time around, we are looking at a collection that’s warm and fuzzy and can hold you close during your latest Netflix binge in front of the fire with a pumpkin spice latte in hand. Too specific? Maybe because that’s what I wish I was doing right now instead of staring out into a dreary sky thanks to Hurricane Harvey.
Hello friends in the blogosphere! Long time no chat, eh? Thanks so much for working with me as I took some time away from Spence’s Beauty to move to a new apartment. I’ve moved something crazy like eight times in the past 7 years, but I have to say that this particular move and subsequent unpacking period took WAY longer for me than it ever has before. I thank you so much for your patience as I get back into the regular swing of things!
The last time Morphe Brushes and Jaclyn Hill released an eyeshadow palette, the Morphe Brushes website experienced a server overload like they’d never seen before. This time around, will probably be no different.
Morphe and Jaclyn are collaborating once again to bring us another limited edition 35 color eyeshadow palette launching June 21, 2017 on the Morphe website and at their Burbank, CA store. Jaclyn is bringing her MUA experience and star power to Morphe’s high quality, affordable range of professional artists and enthusiasts alike. The 35 color eyeshadow palette ranges from Jaclyn’s staple nude and gold tones to bold purples and blues. A gorgeous follow up to their previous collaboration, I’m expecting this to sell out immediately. If you are not able to purchase at launch or don’t feel like fighting the virtual crowds, Morphe does an excellent job at regularly restocking so you will definitely have a chance to purchase then.
Looxi Beauty recently launched the second part of their summer 2017 collection and it’s full shimmer goodness. I had the chance to play in some of the shadows pre-launch and this collection is everything I was hoping for from Looxi this summer. The collection included ten new Aurora (duochrome shimmer formula) shadows with shades ranging from lemon yellow to enchanted forest green.
Anastasia Beverly Hills is launching the most summer collection of summer! Comprised of old favorites and some new new, you are sure to find something that tickles your fancy. The collection includes 12 single eyeshadows (three repromotes, 9 new), 10 lip glosses (mix of new and repromotes from the 2016 summer and fall mini lip gloss sets), and 5 trio blush palettes to complement every skintone.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Summer 2017 will launch May 16, 2017 online at anastasiabeverlyhills.com. It will be available online at Anastasia Beverly Hills retailers (Sephora, Ulta, Dillard’s, and Macy’s) on June 13, 2017. Finally, it will launch in stores at the same retailers on June 23, 2017. Eyeshadows will retail for $12 each. Lip glosses will retail for $16 each. Blush trios will retail for $30 each.
Summer is right around the corner and I’m absolutely ready! I’ve been planning a beach vacation and you can tell it’s on my mind by the number of blue eyeshadow looks I’ve done recently. Sorry not sorry! If you are just as ready for summer as I am, check out my most recent ocean blue eye look because nothing says summer quite like mermaid halo eye realness. Primary shadows used in this look came from the Juvia’s Place The Masquerade shadow palette. For full look details, keep reading!
Have you ever owned a palette that you could literally use for your entire face? It’s not only great for eyeshadow, but you could find blush, contour, highlight shades if it came to it. I’ve only seen a handful, but none from indie brands. Until now. Give Me Glow Cosmetics has just released a palette of staple shades that will keep you busy for a long long time. Keep reading for more thoughts and pictures!
The Give Me Glow Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette #StaplePalette will release March 31, 2017 at 10 AM CST at givemeglowcosmetics.com. The 12-pan magnetic palette contains one satin, two shimmer, and nine matte shades. Each pan holds 3.5g of product. The palette will retail for $54 (plus $5.95 shipping). This palette is permanent to the Give Me Glow Cosmetics collection.
I’ve been rocking with Give Me Glow Cosmetics since their “lip-hybrid-in-a-jar” days. I’m talking Lime Crime Cashmere dupe days! And they continue to produce some of my favorite lip products of all time. However, this Spring they are launching into the world of eyeshadow palettes and I’ve got extraordinarily high hopes for their first palette. If you are skeptical, check out the swatches below!
After seeing @futilitiesmore Makeup Geek dupe swatches of the Jeffree Star Androgyny palette, I was inspired to look to my shadow collection to find some dupes for the ten gorgeous shades. I thought I cam pretty close on most of them. Some of the colors (like the shimmery bronze gold) are staples in most collections, so don’t be afraid to dig around in your stash to see what you’ve got. Let me know how I did down below in the comments!
The Sola Look x Dirty Dancing Collection will soft launch with a limited quantity of palettes on March 18, 2017 at Noon PST. Palettes ordered during the soft launch will ship April 12, 2017. There is a two palette limit. Official release is April 22, 2017. The collection will be available at solalook.com.
After months of teasing, Sola Look has finally released details on their much-anticipated Dirty Dancing collection. If you remember the brand’s all-matte Flashdance collab, you are in for a real treat this time. I wasn’t ready for the goodness that makes up an eye and face palette PLUS a liquid lipstick and I don’t think you will be either. This collection is a must see for all my Dirty Dancing lovers out there! Keep reading for more pictures of the palette shades and the lipstick!
