Revlon Summer Soundoff Collection

As the weather starts to warm in the United States I hope all of you (vaxxed) hotties are ready for a hot girl summer! Revlon sent me their new ‘Summer Soundoff’ collection with a ton of goodies inspired by hits from the past and present. To celebrate, they also had four awesome ladies including Megan Thee Stallion and Ashley Graham make Spotify playlists that will have you pre-gaming CORRECTLY. Pull them up while you read this post, it will definitely change the experience!

The first product I want to talk about is the Revlon PhotoReady Rose Glow Mist. I know, I know … out of all the makeup I got, a mist!?! But girl, it was so refreshing! And with the heat we are about the endure, this is going to save the day more than once. This spray is refreshing straight out of the bottle. It does have a strong flower-ish smell to it so keep the bottle well away from your face when you spray so you just get that fine mist. Keep this in your refrigerator for heightened experience.

The Revlon So Fierce Chrome Ink liquid liners were very unique, it’s been a long time since I’ve used a felt tip liner this thick and I wrote the product off in my head as not being able to get a precise line. However, when I went to use this I was shocked at the control I was able to get doing winged liner! It gave me much better control than my super thin tip brush. I also loved the metallic color selection. These gave me serious festival vibes. Especially with the control the product gives, you could create designs all over your face and eyes with these.

The most surprising products from the collection were the eyeshadow palettes! The four-pan Revlon So Fierce Prismatic eye palettes with metallic shadows have unique color stories and the pigment payoff was very impressive. The packaging is very lightweight and easy to use. At a price point of $8 these are competitively priced to some of the newer brands that Revlon is taking on right now.

There are a few drawbacks to the palettes. They contain all metallic shades, so you will have to supplement any matte shades you want to add. A big deal if you want a base and/or a crease color. Also, the palettes lack a mirror which is definitely something you need on the go. With this palettes small size it feel as if they are designed for travel … in which case a mirror would really come in handy.

I received three of six palettes available right now: Tantrum, Clap Back, and The Big Bang. My eye immediately went to Clap Back as soon as I saw it. There was just something about the royal blue shade that drew me in! If you have brown eyes, you can pull off most colors, but this palette will really make them pop.

This is a really solid collection from Revlon. I’m very impressed by the payoff of the eyeshadows and the precision of the felt tip liner. And with all of the products clocking in at under $11, Revlon is definitely upping their drugstore game.
