First Impression: Senna Cosmetics Brow Fix X Setting Gel

I recently became acquainted with Senna Cosmetics at The Makeup Show San Francisco. The brand has a ton of products, but their brow products seem to be their biggest draw. I picked up a brow gel to test out. If you keep reading, you’ll find out what I thought of it!

I’ve used this brow gel a few times in the past week and so far, it’s blown my Tarte Colored Clay Tinted Brow Gel out of the park. I haven’t been using brow gel for that long because I always thought it emphasize my fine brow hair even more. Instead, I was using mostly powder to make them appear more voluminous. However, I’ve been getting into creating more natural brows recently and I needed a gel that could hold my sparse brows in place even when I stopped doing my full brow routine everyday.

After researching the brand before The Makeup Show, I decided to go to the booth and grab one to try out. Online, it claimed to ‘plump and texturize brows’ and I was really skeptical because every brow gel seems to carry that claim. But I was trying to keep an open mind so I went with it!

When I got home and opened up the lip gloss sized bottle, I was surprised to find little fibers in a dark brown gel covering the spoolie!Lots of brow gels have this texturizing claim, but this one actually places fibers on your brows simulating the addition of extra brow hairs. I was so pumped by the possibility that I started using it immediately!

I’m thrilled to report that this product does add texture to my brows, but it doesn’t create the same effect as piling on a ton of powder. My brows look more natural while still looking full. Now my everyday brow routine consists of using a small amount of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in ‘Chocolate’ to define the bottom of my brows and shape the ends and then adding this in the shade ‘Dark Brown’ all over my brows, but especially on the front half.Have any of you guys tried out Senna Cosmetics Brow Fix X Setting Gel before?
