Indie brand Glitter Elixirs Cosmetics just released some liquid lipsticks and they are BOMB. A mix of nudes and bright colors, these liquid lipsticks have excellent staying power and they smell like vanilla cupcakes. You can’t go wrong with vanilla cupcakes!
From the jump, Glitter Elixirs has always had crazy colors and very unique names! Nothing is different with the release of these liquid lipsticks. Kennedy was kind enough to send me a few colors to sample and share with you guys!
Of the eight colors released, I’ve got swatches of five. The consistency is very creamy, but it blends nicely and dries quickly. I’m always looking for a lipstick that will dry down fast because I usually pick up a liquid lipstick when I’m in a rush and need my lips to stay put for a long period of time.
The first detail I noticed when I applied these is how lightweight they are! Especially my favorite shade, ‘A Case of Switched Faces’. I couldn’t even tell I had it on after it had dried down! Definitely the most lightweight liquid lipsticks I’ve ever tried. My second favorite is ‘A Nice Chianti’ which is a deep burgundy wine shade. I’m not really sure what to do with some of these brighter colors, but I’m slowly building my courage to wear them out in public!
These wore about 6 hours on me without eating. I did need to touch up just in the middle of my lips after eating. I tested ‘A Nice Chianti’ through a day at the office and it lasted through lots of chit chat and drinking water & iced coffee (through a straw) with only one touch up after lunch.
