Review: Black Radiance Beauty Goodie Bag

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was the runner-up in a giveaway a few weeks ago sponsored by Black Radiance Beauty! I was so excited to win you would have thought I just won the NYX Face Awards or something (LOL)! I am truly grateful to all my followers who voted for me and to Black Radiance for sending me a prize. I can’t wait to show you all the fun stuff that was in it!

I literally died when I opened the package! I should have filmed an unboxing, but when I picked the envelope off my front porch I really didn’t know what was in it until I ripped it open and immediately saw the Black Radiance logo. I started flipping out and ran around the house like a crazy person.

Upon further inspection, I really got to see all the amazing products they sent me! The first thing I opened was the folder you see in the picture above which had a little flash drive in it with the Black Radiance logo. Being the uber techie that I am, this was actually very exciting for me because I have 1 million flash drives, but like bobby pins and hair ties, they always disappear. I am going to keep this one in a safe place so I don’t lose it.

On to the makeup! I got so much stuff, I don’t even know where to start. I got one Perfecting Eye Shadow Primer, one Continuous Color Pigment (Purple), one BB Cream (Nude), two Artisan Baked Blushes (Gingersnap & Warm Berry), one True Complexion Soft Focus Finishing Powder (Creamy Bronze), one Under Eye Color Corrector Kit (Medium), one Perfect Tone Dual Lip Definer (Currant), one Dynamic Duo Lip Balm & Gloss (Nude), and one Continuous Creme Eyeliner (Rustic Brown). I immediately started playing in it all, I couldn’t help myself!

I used Black Radiance all over my face for the look below except for my eyes and my foundation. Otherwise, it’s all BR. Some of the products were new from this goodie bag and some I already owned and use on a regular basis anyways. I used the True Complexion Custom Concealer under my eyes to hid my dark circles and set it with the Soft Focus Finishing Powder which blurred the heck out of my pores. My Ben Nye powder doesn’t even look that flawless so I am going to keep using this combination for a few days to see how it compares in the long run. To contour, I used their Pressed Powder (Ebony) with a small fan brush to lightly define my cheeks. Blush is Artisan Baked Blush (Warm Berry) and bronzer is Artisan Baked Blush (Toasted Almond).

The highlight is Artisan Baked Blush (Gingersnap) which ended up being my favorite product in the goodie bag. This color is bomb and I don’t have anything else like it in my collection. It’s got a subtle glow on my skin so I can see myself reaching for this during the winter when I still want to look illuminated, but not like I’m trying to hold on to my summer tan for longer than I should. I went for a ’90’s brown liner lip look tonight because …  I felt like it. It just seemed to work for me today! My lips are MAC ‘Chestnut’ lip liner with the Dynamic Duo Lip Balm & Gloss (Nude) on top. I loved the balm gloss combo because I only had to stick one dual-ended item in my purse and call it a day.

I’m wearing the Clinique 12-Hour Stay Matte Foundation (Sienna). If you are interested in the eye details for this look, check out my Instagram post with all the brand links!
