Review: Beauty Escape Cosmetics Sinister Eyeshadow Collection

On Black Friday, I made more than a few powder eyeshadow purchases and one of my MUST HAVES was the Beauty Escape Cosmetics Sinister collection. I’d been drooling over these on Instagram and the second they become mine, I knew I had found a jewel. Interested in learning my thoughts on these shadows plus the two singles – The Huntsman & Aretmis – that I picked up? Keep reading to find out more below!

I love foiled and metallic shadows, especially in the winter. I feel that the wintertime blues give me a pass to put some color back into my life in the form of smearing all sorts of colorful makeup on my face. Makes me happy and it cheers up other people I run into – win win situation!I’d say the shadows in the Beauty Escape Cosmetics Sinister Collection more than qualify for listing under the ‘merry and bright’ category. First impression – my eyes went immediately to ‘Mother Goethel’ and ‘Wicked’ first and then to ‘The Huntsman’ and ‘Evil Queen’ next. I love true jewel shades so that explains the rich gold, emerald, and amethyst and I’ve been reaching for more champagne tones lately (with the fast approaching NYE party looks appearing on Instagram) so ‘The Huntsman’ is really no surprise either.

One shade I really didn’t know what to think of was ‘Artemis’, but once swatched I was hooked! It reminded me of how I fell in love with Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘ Truffle Glitter’, but this shade is a tad bit cooler – more pewter. Nevertheless, that was actually the first shadow I used on my eyelids from this haul. But I have no doubt I’ll be using them all soon!

I was able to snag one of these limited edition sets and if you are reading this fairly recently after I posted it, you might be able to snag your own set on Beauty Escape Cosmetics’ website (and you can use the discount code BEAUTYCULT for 15% off your purchase).
